Boy who gave Disney World money toward evacuees gets trip after all

The story of six-year-old Jermaine Bell has spread throughout the internet like wildfire for a few weeks now, inspiring thousands.

Including, apparently, some very important people at Disney.

In case you missed it, the Jacksonville boy had been saving up his money for over a year to afford an upcoming birthday trip to Walt Disney World.

But when he heard about people having to evacuate due to Hurricane Dorian, he took all his money and instead bought hot dogs, chips and bottled water to hand out (for free) to evacuees passing through the South Carolina town where he was visiting his grandmother.

That act of compassion touched the hearts of many people and someone or ones at Disney decided that the little boy with the big heart deserves to go to Mickey Mouse’s Orlando theme park anyway.

On Jermaine’s 7th birthday, a group of Walt Disney World cast members and the big Mouse himself surprised the young boy to tell him that he and his friends would be going on a VIP trip to the theme park later this month.

Mobile users see video of the surprise here.
