    The hope is that most of us will come out of this as better cooks! Cooking meals can be boring or exhausting at times but now that we have time, we thought we’d help you get started! Below you’ll also find some helpful links and tips for storing and portioning your food.  Let us know what you’re cooking up too! Submit your Quarantine recipe and dish below! Recipes and Tips (below submit your own): - Delish is hosting virtual cooking classes everyday at 1pm ET on Instagram (these are kid friendly too!). For a full list of what they’ll be making each day, check’em out here.  - For a no-brainer, check out FoodNetwork. They also have live cooking classes on their app and thousands of recipes!  - Check out this list of essential things to have in your fridge and pantry during this time of social distancing and quarantine which also includes on storage tips!   - Don’t eat all your snacks too fast! Check out MyRecipes article on portioning and tips to make your food last.  - We all know and love Publlix Subs but check out the many recipes Publix offers on their website!  - Also check out these 17 quick and easy pantry meals from Tasty. It’s got some creative takes on putting together things you may already have! - Check out these “Quarantine Recipes” by Sam the Cooking Guy!  - Because everyone loves Joanna Gaines and chocolate chip cookies (hands up if you have her cooking book 🙋)  - Check out these easy meals you can make from items that are already in your pantry  - For some quick and healthy breakfast options follow the recipes in this video!  - If you’re looking to make something a bit more hearty, you’ll have to try making #TheStew! Start your spring cleaning!  Make friendship bracelets Who says happy hour can’t be a thing? Have a group a happy hour video call with your besties and grab a drink 😉  Re-decorate your home! Start a neighborhood challenge with your neighbors. Each day you and your neighbors can share different things (while practicing social distancing) EXAMPLE: sidewalk chalk in front of your house, and then tomorrow people can check them out on walks/bike rides, etc. Go for a bike ride/skateboard/roller blade/swim/walk/run! Soak in some sun! Have a dog? Try to teach them new tricks! Invent a new ice cream flavor! Use food coloring for fun! Planet Fitness is even offering free live stream 20 min home workouts on their Facebook page at 7pm.  Make a music video to your favorite throwback song. Write and Send a letter to friends…via email. Start a Nerf Battle! Setting up barricades and obstacles with umbrellas and other pieces of furniture are a must! Make some rules for difficulty too! Re-download the Sims and have a an imaginary/virtual life or whatever you want to call it...since we can’t for real right now. Available on app stores too! Check out the live webcams the Georgia Aquarium has set up! They have one on the sea otters too! Get dressed and have a date night at home in your patio/backyard/balcony or in a different space in your home to change things up! Binge watch new shows. Re-watch the first few seasons of the Bachelor on Netflix with your friends! 2002 has all the gossip and cringe-worthy moments you have been looking for!  Plant something!  Have an at home spa day. Start a DIY home project...or finally get to that one you never finished.  Wash your car! Make sure to sanitize the steering wheel and gear shift! Thanks to the Princess Awesome & Boy Wonder Community for the amazing suggestions!!   Have each kid pick a topic they'd like to learn about and spend 30 mins each day on that topic. Spend one day reading every single picture book we have in the house Bake something every day (for fun, vlog about it!) Have each kid write a letter and/or emails to a different friend or family member each day. Use all your building toys on one giant structure Wash our hands!!!! Races of various kinds in the backyard (hopping on one foot, crab walk, walking backwards, etc.) Try stop motion animation with PlayDough. FaceTime grandparents a lot. Watch everything on Disney+ Learn the parts of plants/flowers & how they function (bonus if they learn the Latin names). If you have a spare shoe box size or a big clear container, catch some pill bugs (rolly pollies, sow bugs) & observe them (make sure they can breathe!) Write a short story & illustrate it. Learn how to do simple book binding. GoNoodle! Great for guided movement, relaxation, etc. Legos Dot to Dot books! Lots of reading! Working on learning to sew using stuff on hand.  Card making/scrap-booking projects.  Make tents and reading caves with flashlights, snacks, books, and pillows!Have a shadow show in the reading tent. Get binoculars and learn about the birds near your house, look them up on Google and search for their bird calls on YouTube. Learn how to make a stuffed animal. Many educational websites are waving fees if your students school is closed. Here’s a list of all of them that are waving fees. Watch all the hand washing videos & vote on your favorite. Discuss why each good, helpful, funny. The Holderness parody one is hilarious, and the Vietnam Tiktok one is great choreography, some have good songs etc. Pick your favorite song with a 20 second refrain or verse perfect for hand washing length of time. Team up and clean and organize each kid's space and make a donation box for each. Parents are included. Have a board game day. Kids can also make their own games! Board games, card games, you name it!  Write a story cooperatively. One person picks a character and the other picks a setting and then go! All art is fun at home: beading, painting, drawing, play dough or kinetic sand, sewing, etc.  Massive board game tournament with all the board games you own! There are kid-friendly YouTube videos and printed cards with poses. Zumba or Dance-along videos on YouTube Draw self-portraits Have your kids draw maps of places and then make directions from one place to another to see if someone else could follow it.  Scavenger hunts and indoor treasure hunts where they follow clues through the house to a 'treasure' at the end (could be candy, a movie, whatever). Charades! Learn how to write code. Check out the videos here There are a few easy 'kitchen chemistry' type science experiments that are easy to do, like making slime, baking soda and vinegar reaction, etc. There are a bunch of ideas on the lab section of Curiosity! They also have letters from women in STEM around the world! Give the dogs a bath and brush. Mow the lawn (good for the older ones!) Play sidewalk chalk outside. Glow stick party Popcorn + movie marathon Listen to kid podcasts - ex: story pirates and smash boom  Declutter toys!  Have an Olympics with a bunch of events competitions - funny ones, helpful ones like cleaning and fun ones like minute to win in style. Learn new card games Learn how to make sushi! Lots of art projects!  Dig up all the activity books, presents, etc. that never got played with, and use those! Build a tent in the house with blankets and chairs. Great for just before nap time. Find a trail to go on a walking hike. If you stay away from over populated areas, you will naturally stay a safe distance from others and sick people generally don't hike! Do a study on planets, then have the kids create their own planets- how big is it, where in the universe is it located, atmosphere conditions, can it sustain life, how long is a day/year, name it, etc.Watch this to learn about relative distance Design a new space craft, draw plans, then create out of Legos or household items. Spend some time pretending you're on different planets with different gravity, you could seriously spend a whole week on just fun space activities.But that's not limited to space- these ideas would work for animals, geography, body systems, historical events/time periods, etc. Beyond that, do some fun physics experiments like making a bridge out of straws, egg drop protectors, paper airplanes, etc. PuppetMaster: an app where you can animate anything from a drawing to a stuffed animal. Puzzle races: put several puzzles (20+ piece puzzles) in a paper bag and shake it up. Pour pieces out and give each person the puzzle box they are to put together. Go! (Cooperation tends to be a result as pieces are traded.) Dig through cabinets and figure out recipes for that thing you got at the grocery store and thought 'this is interesting surely it can be used for something!' And then make it! Make and play with Play-Doh “Paint the fence” if you have washable paints

  • Rejoice wrestle fans! The rumor has been proven true: Wrestlemania 36 will take place in Tampa. It was just a year ago that the city placed a bid to have the major event visit them and luck has come to them quickly as World Wrestling Entertainment decided on Raymond James Stadium to hold their biggest show. 66,000 fans will be able to fill that stadium in 2020 to witness the wrestling stars. Tampa has a sweet relationship with the WWE as many of its biggest characters call the town home, including Dave Bautista and John Cena. Wrestlemania has only taken place in Florida three times so far: Orlando hosted in 2008 and 2017 while Miami hosted the main event in 2012.
