Monica Rix is an AP award-winning journalist. She joined WDBO in December 2011.

Monica grew up in Miami and graduated from the University of Florida. She started her career in radio, working for WRUF-FM, in Gainesville. Monica has also worked in TV, reporting in North Carolina, Alabama and here in Orlando, before landing her current gig at WDBO.
