Drunken rampage over McDonald chicken nuggets leads to $1,000 fine

Australia — An Australian man was fined $1,000 after a drunken rampage over McDonalds chicken nuggets.

After a night of drinking, Kole Olsen attempted to order 200 chicken nuggets at the drive-through of a Thornleigh Australia McDonald’s. When the 30 year old Olsen was told he can only get items on the breakfast menu, things quickly got out of hand.

According to police, the 30-year-old repeatedly honked his horn while telling the staff he wanted his “f***king nuggets”.

Olsen eventually purchased 200 hashbrowns for $230 as an alternative, but continued to harass employees and began driving laps around the restaurant while repeatedly honking his car horn. When officers arrived, he registered a blood-alcohol level of 0.175.

In his court appearance Olsen was asked by the magistrate if he were an alcoholic, to which he replied "yes".

Olsen was fined $1000, his licence was suspended for nine months and he will remain on a good behavior bond for 12 months.
