Proceeds from 'Dog We Trust' rug auction delivered

The infamous rug in the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office proclaiming "In Dog We Trust" has sold at auction for $9,650.

Today, the proceeds were delivered to a local shelter called Canine Estates.

The rug manufacturer's mistake turned into quite the bone tossed their way.

The shelter takes small abandoned or abused dogs from other shelters that euthanize unwanted pets.

Now, Pinellas County Sheriff Bob Gualtieri can look upon a new rug that correctly states "In God We Trust."
