Administrators at an elementary school in Gustine, Texas were continually finding fecal matter on the floor of the gymnasium and decided to try and find the source of the problem.
Now, the school’s choice of how to find out is coming under heavy fire from parents.
School staff gathered 24 students split by gender.
The children were ordered to take down their pants so staff could inspect their underwear for any signs of feces.
The district superintendent is now involved.
Students described the “poop inspections” as embarrassing and uncomfortable.
The Huffington Post talked with one student who claims the school staff violated her privacy.
