Orange County Deputies dismantle massive drug ring

Sheriff Jerry Demings tells us "Operation Glass House" was an  investigation of more than two years.

Deputies made 24 arrests at eight different Orange County homes, seizing 49 weapons with thousand of rounds on ammunition, 2 bullet proof vests and 250 thousand dollars worth of assets including 5 vehicles.

Deputies also found more than $160,000 in cash.

The investigation into the accused ringleaders, Wilfredo Vargas and Steven Sylvester began in June of 2013.

Sheriff Demings says it's a classic case of see something, say something.  The investigation began when neighbors became suspicious and spoke up about it.

Deputies also believe this group is connected to at least one overdose death and possibly the attempted murder of an Orange County deputy.
