Orlando, Fla. —

The first two Thomas Cook planes arrived at Orlando International Airport (MCO) this weekend after previously flying to Orlando Sandford Airport (SFB).

The airline says the move allows its traveling "holidaymakers" to arrive at a location nearer to Orlando's attraction areas.

“The addition of Thomas Cook Airlines to the Orlando International Airport family is welcomed news for many of our United Kingdom guests”, says Phil Brown, Executive Director of the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority, noting the airline's "sterling reputation for customer service.”

Thomas Cook Airlines operates flights to Orlando International from Manchester and London Gatwick in the winter season.

In summer 2014, the airline will operate flights on six days from Manchester and three days from Glasgow. Flights to Orlando International are now on sale

Thomas Cook Airlines operates over from 20 airports across the UK with over 200 holiday destinations including North America, the Caribbean Sea and India, as well as resorts across Europe.
