Navy's Blue Angels to fly over Magic Kingdom this morning

The U.S. Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron, the Blue Angels, are scheduled to conduct a flyover of the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World Resort for an internal team photo shoot, Thursday, March 19.

The Blue Angels will fly the squadron’s six-jet F/A-18 Hornet Delta Formation two times above the Magic Kingdom, with Cinderella Castle as a focal point.  The flyover will be visible to the general public. The photo shoot is scheduled to take place between 9:30 a.m. and 10 a.m. EST.

The team will be flying past the theme park en route to the Melbourne Air and Space Show, where they will be performing March 21-22 at the Melbourne International Airport.  The flight path will also take the jets over the Arnold Palmer Invitational, held at Arnold Palmer’s Bay Hill Club and Lodge, and will be visible to the general public at that location.

The Blue Angels are scheduled to fly in 68 performances at 35 locations in 2015 and 69 performances at 35 locations in 2016 throughout North America.
