KFC rolls out grease-resistant Bluetooth keyboard trays

Because sometimes the napkins are just too far away, KFC in Germany introduced a specialty grease-resistant Bluetooth keyboard tray liner along with meals.

The liners, called "Tray Typers" synced up to the customer's smartphone or tablet and allowed them to message away with their buddies without ever stopping to wipe the chicken grease from their fingers.

The Tray Typers were unaffected by liquids and condiments as well as grease and could be recharged using a USB.

The German KFC only handed out the special liners for a week and every person that was given one with their order took them home.

This isn't the first time KFC has pulled off somewhat odd publicity stunts.

In 2014, the fried chicken eatery ran a contest in which three winners received either a fried chicken-themed keyboard, mouse or thumb drive.
