High school football star killed in crash; several others injured

Florida Highway Patrol reports one teenager was killed and four others were  seriously injured  in a rollover crash Tuesday in Brevard County.

According to FHP, 19-year-old Dominic Lee  lost control of his pickup truck around 4:30 a.m. on  U.S. Highway 192 and Radar Road near Melbourne

Lee, an Osceola High football star died at the scene, there were four passengers in the truck and all of them suffered serious injuries.

Investigators said the vehicle crossed the median and overturned several times, ejecting the occupants.

Students took to social media to post memories of the football player, who was considered one of the top defensive backs in Florida.

The passengers were identified as Da'ja Clayton, Rakeem Randall, Breyuna Walker and Darnell Clayton.

Troopers said they're working to determine if speed was a factor in the crash.

They are also waiting for toxicology results and witness interviews.
