Delta flight from LA to Orlando diverted to Dallas for "security concern"

Delta flight 1060 from Los Angeles to Orlando was diverted to Dallas on Sunday afternoon due to what the airline is calling a “security concern”.

Specific details have yet to be released from the airline.

Delta is directing all questions to law enforcement.

Passengers were escorted from the plan while it was inspected.

The Orlando Sentinel is reporting if the plane is deemed safe, the plan is for it to be re-boarded and carry on to Orlando International airport as originally intended, but that has yet to be confirmed.

At least one tweet is saying the plane has already be re-boarded.

Two other flights were also evacuated on Sunday at Seattle-Tacoma International airport for “security concerns”, as well as two flights on Saturday that were escorted to Hartsfield Jackson Airport in Atlanta by two NORAD F-16 fighter jets.

FBI spokesperson Laura Eimiller issued the following statement to NBC News:

"The FBI is aware of recent online threats and is assessing the matter with our law enforcement and airline partners as we do with all threats.  Currently, there is no known threat to any aircraft that departed from the Los Angeles area."
