Daytona Beach radio producer fired after arrest for child porn

A Daytona Beach radio jock is fired, according to his station's website, after he was arrested on child pornography charges.

Chand Worob from WNDB 1150 was booked on 20 felony counts of possessing and distributing roughly 500 images of child porn.

“Thoroughly disgusting is the best way to describe it,” said Daytona Beach Police Chief Mike Chitwood. “Some of them (were) extremely graphic. Children as young as 5 and 6-years-old.”

Worob, 25, would not speak to WFTV reporter Mario Boone as he was led away to jail in handcuffs.

"The investigation with us has been ongoing for a while.  We just developed enough probable cause in the early part of this week to get a search warrant,” Chitwood said.

Investigators don’t believe he used any radio station computers to download the child porn.

Investigators said they found about 500 images of child pornography on his computer.
