A New Jersey Transit police officer is being hailed as a hero for pulling a man from train tracks within seconds of the train killing both of them.
In a video that has everyone talking, NJ Transit police officer Victor Ortiz responded to calls that a man was lying on the tracks in Secaucus. As the train's light approached, Ortiz jumped into the tracks to pull the uncooperative man to safety.
The man's identity has not been released. Officer Ortiz a 16-year veteran of the transit force told NBC's "Today Show"
"If that last pull had not worked, we already know what would have happened."
