Adobe hits Forever 21 with suit over pirated Photoshop

Adobe has taken popular clothing store Forever 21 to court, claiming they have pirated Photoshop.

The software company states that the store pirated 63 different instances of Adobe software products, including Acrobat, Photoshop and Illustrator.

The suit that was filed in a California District Court wrote Forever 21, "continued their infringing activities even after being contacted by Adobe regarding the infringement."

Autodesk and Corel have joined Adobe in the suit, claiming pirated copies of Autodesk, WinZip, and PaintShopPro and argue "willful, intentional, and malicious copyright infringement" on the part of Forever 21.

It's unclear exactly how Adobe tracked the violations, but does have each documented, including registration numbers and dates of the instance.

The software company is asking compensation for lost revenue, court costs and additional damages.
