Vehicle with children inside stolen near SeaWorld

Orlando, Florida — A suspected car thief is in custody after stealing a car with two young children inside. 

Orange County deputies say the car was parked outside a CVS on Central Florida Parkway near SeaWorld while the vehicle's owner was shopping inside the store. Someone came inside to tell the owner that a thief had taken off with the car.  

According to WESH, the vehicle's owner jumped on the hood of the car to try and stop the thief but he got away. Police were able to take the suspect into custody after he crashed the car at a WAWA nearby.

No word on if there are any injuries.
