The Tebow baseball tour arrives in Kissimmee

Kissimmee, Fla. — Friday night at 7:05 the Kissimmee Fire Frogs will be hosting the first of four games against the St. Lucie Mets at Osceola County Stadium.

Unless you are a dedicated Kissimmee Fire Frogs fan (and there aren't many) you wouldn't typically be hearing much about this game, nor would I

or others be writing about it.

However, the Mets, currently have an outfielder named Timothy Richard Tebow and that seems to change everything!

Attendance at minor league ball parks around the country has skyrocketed since Timmy first took the field for the Columbia Fireflies in South Carolina, earlier this year.

Kissimmee Fire Frogs President Joe Harrington said, his phone started ringing weeks ago about this weekends series with St. Lucie and Tim Tebow.

Harrington said, this weekend's games should bring in the largest crowd ever for the Fire Frogs who are in their inaugural season in Kissimmee.

As for Tebow, the list of accomplishments for the former Florida Gator National Championship winner, Heisman Trophy winner and NFL quarterback continues to grow, as does the attraction and interest to him. Lets add author, public speaker and now, maybe the injection of excitement minor league baseball needed.
