Orlando City Soccer begins its next chapter this Sunday when the team kicks off the 2017 season aginst New York FC in it's new downtown Orlando stadium.
The $155 million soccer specific stadium on west Church Street was built almost entirely with private funds and is expected to help revitalize the Parramore section of town.
As part of the private funding, at least $15 million came from 30 foreign investors in countries such as Brazil and China.
Unlike most modern day sports stadiums, it features a real grass field as opposed to artificial turf.
As part of it's larger sponsorship with MLS, Heineken has naming rights to the ground level bar on the south side of the stadium.
Among the 25,500 seats are 49 rainbow colored seats in honor of the 49 people killed in the June 2016 Pulse night club attack.
