Man shot during attempted robbery at Red Carpet Inn in Ocoee

Orlando, Fla. — Orlando police are investigating a shooting that took place at a hotel in Ocoee Sunday morning.

At 10:10 a.m., officers met with the victim at the Health Central Hospital on West Colonial Drive who was involved in a shooting that happened at the Red Carpet Inn near Mercy Drive.

The victim stated that he was in a rented room at the hotel and was shot by an unknown person during an attempted robbery. The room was found with blood in it, but no one else was found.

The victim's injury to the leg has been labeled as non-life threatening.
