KISSIMMEE, Fla. — The Kissimmee Police Department is looking to communicate better with its deaf community.
On Tuesday the department tweeted about its new “two-sided post card to utilize when encountering a citizen who may be hearing impaired.”

The card has a number of pictures next to common items such as driver license, registration, stop sign, DUI, texting, etc.
It could be part of a growing trend in the United States. Earlier this month, sheriffs deputies and corrections officers in Hawaii took part in a program to learn American Sign Language.
