Due to Hurricane Maria, many people have been unable to get in touch with their loved ones. However, the Puerto Rico Federal Affairs Administration is offering information and resources for those seeking assistance, as well as to donate and volunteer to help out.

Because of the amount of emails received, leaders are asking that everyone send only one email unless the status of those you are trying to reach has changed.
They also ask that you include your contact information and as much information as possible about your friends or family members.
Other methods include contacting the Washington DC office at 202-800-3133 or 202-778-0710
Staffers are taking names and numbers and making plans to check the welfare of people who are missing or unreachable as the island recovers.
Officials say getting through to someone over the phone has been difficult because the phone lines are backed up.
USA.gov is suggesting the following:

- try reaching them via the American Red Cross
