‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ star to visit Give Kids the World Village in Orlando

KISSIMMEE, FLORIDA — Critically ill children and their families  will get to meet a superhero from another ‘galaxy’ this week.

Actor Dave Bautista, also known as Drax the Destroyer in the 'Guardians of the Galaxy' films, will be coming to Orlando to visit the Give Kids the World Village. It's part of a charitable campaign Hasbro, Marvel and The Walt Disney World Company are working on together. Hasbro will also be donating $1 million in cash and toys to the non-profit resort.

Bautista will meet with the kids on Thursday, March 1, from 6-8 p.m. He’s best known for his role as the gray-skinned muscle of the Guardians and he’s looking forward to making some dreams come true for the kids.

"Being a Marvel Super Hero gives us a powerful platform to directly influence positive chance," said Bautista, according to Orlando Attractions Magazine. "Giving back to families and kids is the greatest, most impactful role there is."
