Four Florida Cities rank as top retirement destinations

Tampa maintains its first place status, but Florida may be losing some ground as the go-to retirement state.

WalletHub.com has released its annual list of the best and worst cities to retire for 2015.

“The City Beautiful” dropped from third to fifth, while Cape Coral moved from eighth to fourth. Other notable Florida cities in the top 20 include St. Petersburg (11th), and Pembroke Pines (15th).

The personal finance website compared the retirement-friendliness of the 150 largest U.S. cities across 24 key metrics, including the cost of living, percentage of elderly population, availability of recreational activities and other factors.
