Florida man bags two massive alligators during hunting season

A Florida man with a penchant for bagging big gators is at it again.

Billy Moody caught and killed two alligators measuring more than 12 feet in length in Lake George not far from where the lake flows into the St. Johns River in Volusia County.

His father sent a picture of the harvest to News 96.5 WDBO.  Bill Moody Sr. said his son bagged both gators in the same morning a few weeks ago.

Florida's Statewide Alligator Harvest Program runs from August 15 through November 1.

In order to legally hunt and kill alligators, you must purchase a permit through the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.
