Florida father gives son toy monkey that plays his late mother’s voice in viral video

ORLANDO, FLORIDA — This story is enough to make the toughest man cry.

Antonio Vargas of Orlando, Florida posted a video to his Facebook page on Christmas Day of his son opening up a stuffed talking monkey. The boy seems a bit embarrassed by the gift at first....until he realizes how truly special it is: when the boy presses the monkey's tummy, feet and hands, it plays a voice recording of his late mother who passed away in July, telling him how much she loves him.

The boy immediately hugs the monkey tightly and bursts into tears.

"This is a real big touching moment as a parent,  prepping this monkey to have a heartbeat and to speak to my son, so that my son can hear his mother's voice again," Vargas captions the videos. "She passed away on 4th of July. We always called our son our little monkey. So on Christmas Day his dream came true!!! I love my little man with all my heart, Daddy loves you..."

The heartwarming video has touched viewers across the internet, racking up over 2 million views and over 109,000 shares.

“Wow this broke my heart watching this little boy but I know in the years to come how comforting it will be for him to hear his mother say  she loves him,” wrote one commenter.

Good job, dad! You’re amazing!
