We have got yet another February weekend where there are so many great events happening that it can be difficult to choose which ones to attend.
Never fear. icFlorida's Estee Martin visited Orlando's Morning News with Joe Kelley on Friday morning to suggest some top picks for weekend fun.
This week's icFlorida Fun 3:
The 8th annual Orlando Chili Cook-Off presented by Northwestern Mutual and the 5th Annual World Chili Eating Challenge bring the heat to Orlando Festival Park on Saturday. In addition to scrumptious chili samples from more than 100 booths, event highlights include live music all day, promotional giveaways, a MASSIVE kids' zone, Paparazzi zone, raffle items and more.
The roar of the crowd meets the rumble of raw horsepower as Speedweeks brings thunder and lightning to Daytona International Speedway. Spanning nine days, Speedweeks kicks off this Saturday with both ARCA Series and NASCAR drivers hitting the track, followed by Daytona 500 Qualifying on Sunday. Then, there are four more races next week leading up to the 58th running of the Daytona 500.
Get ready for some good ole’ downhome cooking and grooving blues at the 11th Annual Blues B-Q, Saturday at City Commons Plaza in downtown Orlando. In addition to delectable barbecue from some of the city’s best establishments, there’s also a full lineup of live music, including a headline performance by The Fabulous Thunderbirds. Admission is FREE!
