Tony Marino

I grew up in New York and listened to a lot of radio as I drove around making deliveries for my Father’s bakery.  I started in radio by answering phones, running tapes and  literally making the coffee at the Legendary  77 WABC.  A guy by the name of Rush Limbaugh was just starting  to get pretty popular then.   My very first on air gig was at a rock station in East Hampton NY, that was owned by Billy Joel and his then wife Christy Brinkley.

After several years and several jobs later, I found myself (by choice) in Miami Florida.  I was doing music radio but a program director and some money convinced me to get into news.  Stops along the way included 106.1 WBLI Long Island,  Planet Radio Miami, Sunny 104.3 and 97.9 WRMF West Palm Beach, News Radio 850 Miami,  WNNR Jacksonville, News Radio 1080 KRLD in Dallas and 105.3 The Fan in Dallas.

From 2002-2008  I  also hosted a Syndicated Financial show on both the Business Talk Radio Network and USA Radio Network, heard daily on nearly 50 radio stations across the country.  You may have seen me years ago in a TV infomercial for the red light, green light stock trading system.

I  could only stay out of Florida for so long and I am thrilled to back and working for both News 96-5 Orlando and ESPN 580.
