The 11-year-old boy was arrested Tuesday night after officers found a scary stash of weapons.
Working off a tip cops collected a handgun, over 400 rounds of ammo and several knives.
The boy will face charges of attempted murder despite the fact investigators aren’t sure who he might have been targeting.
The Columbian reports parents with children at Frontier Middle School in Vancouver, Washington were worried and mad.
Worried about what might have happened and mad about how they found out. Despite the school going on lockdown for two hours, parents weren’t called.
Instead, the school put it in their Facebook page and sent home notes with the students.
That didn’t set well with Tara Monroe. “Any parent who is involved in and concerned about their children would not want to learn of a situation like this after the fact, particularly from a public institution.”
No one was hurt and police continue to investigate to find out why the boy had the weapons.
The incident comes on the heels of the school shootings in Nevada and a teacher in Massachusetts being murdered by a 14 year old student.
