The man who co-founded Apple computers with Steve Jobs is speaking his mind about the new movie Jobs, where the iconic computer whiz is played by Ashton Kutcher.
Steve Wozniak a.k.a. “Woz” replied to a review of the movie on gizmodo.com after seeing the flick for himself.
”I saw ‘Jobs’ tonight. I thought the acting throughout was good. I was attentive and entertained but not greatly enough to recommend the movie.”
The 51-year-old computer wiz noted “I suspect a lot of what was wrong with the film came from Ashton’s own image of Jobs.”
Kutcher claims he spent months preparing for his role as Jobs, including reading, watching and listening to all material about the tech legend and even following the same extreme diet that Jobs ate.
Woz went on to add “Ashton made some disingenuous and wrong statements about me recently (including my supposedly having said that the ‘movie’ was bad, which was probably Ashton believing pop press headlines) and that I didn’t like the movie because I’m paid to consult on another one. These are examples of Ashton still being in character. Either film would have paid me to consult, but the Jobs one already had a script written.”
