Quarter Midgets to race at Daytona International Speedway

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — For the first time, Daytona International Speedway will host USAC quarter midget racing during SpeedWeeks in February. It will be the season opener for the popular family racing series. Children between the ages of 5 and 13 participate in USAC .25 clubs, as they are known.

“When the motorsports world descends upon Daytona International Speedway in February, competitors in the USAC .25 quarter midget series will have the opportunity to compete on one of racing’s greatest stages,” Daytona International Speedway President Chip Wile said.

Former midget racers that went on to racing glory include A.J Foyt, Jeff Gordon and Joey Logano.
